Insert a small screwdriver into the slot on the top of the base of the wiper arm - push down on the hidden spring lock and pull the arm up off the shaft (with the screwdriver still in the slot)

There is a metal tab at the base of the arm that has to be pulled / pivoted outward from the shaft - this releases the arm to be pulled/wiggled up and off.
