To replace the blower motor in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the passenger side lower dashboard trim panel for access, then disconnect the wiring harness from the blower motor. Unscrew and remove the old blower motor from its housing, and then install the new motor by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are secure before reassembling the dashboard trim and reconnecting the battery.
How to change blower motor on 2000 grand am gt
Please email me a photo of where the blower motor resistor is and how to change it. Thanks, Michael. By the way I want it for a 2000 Sunfire not a Grand Am.
Replace it.

Check for a bad blower resistor at blower motor
The blower motor resistor that sits behind the blower motor itself all the way against the firewall.
Disconnect the battery and let the vehicle sit for 20 minutes... Remove the right side panel insulator (passengers side)... Remove the (BCM) body control module and set aside carefully.. Disconnect the power plug to the blower motor.. Remove the screws holding the blower motor.. Remove the blower motor......
Well it is apparent that all is not ok. The speed of the blower motor is controlled by the blower motor speed control switch and the blower motor resistor pack. One of those two items is your problem. I would bet the blower motor resistor pack is defective. The only way to know for sure is to replace it.
To replace the blower motor on a 2000 Chevy S-10, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the passenger side lower dashboard panel to access the blower motor, then disconnect the electrical connector and remove the screws securing the motor. Replace it with the new blower motor, reattach the screws, reconnect the electrical connector, and finally, reinstall the dashboard panel before reconnecting the battery. Test the blower motor to ensure it operates correctly.
No repairing those blower motors, replace it with a new one.
under the glove box there is a panel that holds the blower motor...remove the screws...4 i believe....remove the black plastic cover....there are three screws that holds the blower motor in...remove these and then remove the blower motor...unplug the power source and feed wires out of the hole.....reverse to replace the motor
The blower motor is located in the passenger footwell under the dash. You will need to remove the black cover which hides it and then remove the bolts from the bottom of the blower motor disconnect the wiring and reverse the procedure to install.
