To replace the front door latch on a 1992 Pontiac Transport, first, remove the interior door panel by unscrewing any screws and gently prying off clips. Once the panel is off, disconnect the wiring harnesses and remove the bolts securing the latch to the door. Replace the old latch with the new one, reattach the bolts, reconnect the wiring, and finally, reassemble the door panel. Test the latch to ensure it functions correctly before finishing up.
Reach under the front of your car between the radiator and the grill and pull the wire down. That will unhook your hood latch. Replace the cable.
What kind of Pontiac? Bonneville, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Firebird, Sunbird, Sunfire, Parisenne, etc? You probably have a bad latch, replace it I just ran across this on my car and all I had to do was check latch alignment and align the latch

The Pontiac Grand Prix door latch has adjustments to move the latch up and down and in and out. Loosen the adjustment screws. Keep moving the latch in one direction or the other, until the door catches the latch.
Yes it can, very easy to do, have to order a new latch from the dealer, just tell them it's the latch that locks the top down, and which side it's on. Hope this helps.
What is a door latch mhahahaha lol Joking! Answer: Replace it with duct tape
How do you replace the tail gate latch on a Ford f150
Replace the door latch.
To replace a sliding glass door latch, first remove the old latch by unscrewing it from the door. Then, align the new latch with the existing holes and screw it into place. Test the latch to ensure it functions properly.
With a Large Hammer
I HAD THAT PROBLEM-IT WAS DIFCULT BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE-AS I REMEMBER I REACHED THROUGH THE FRONT GRILL AND REMOVED SOME 10MIL SCREWS FROM THE CENTER BRACE JUST BELOW THE LATCH. I THEN HAD A LONG STRAIGHT SLOT SCREW DRIVER(ABOUT I8 INCHES LONG) BLINDLY I FORCED THE SCREWDRIVER UP INTO THE LATCH AREA AND EVENTUALLY RELEASED THE HOOD. IT WAS NOT EASY AND YOU HAVE TO WORK PRETTY MUCH BLIND.
