First of all is it the 2.5L 4-cyl or the 3.0L 6-cyl? A Haynes manual for any Dodge or Plymouth using your engine actually has plenty of info. I used a manual for a 1989 Dodge Caravan to change the belt on a 1995 Plymouth Acclaim 3.0L. The engines look identical.
If you have the 3.0L:
Quick connect fuel lines are in the way.
Will have to support the engine to remove the motor mounting.
Remove the large motor mounting engine bracket.
Remove the serpentine belt.
Remove upper timing belt covers.
Remove various pulleys AFTER setting TDC.
Unbolt and move Power Steering pump and A/C compressor.
Absolutely definitely should replace WATER PUMP too because it is driven by the timing belt.
After belt off, check timing belt tensioner by spinning it. Pros will replace it with timing belt.
This is a big job. I suggest getting a manual on your car from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM.
From the screw tabs across is just under 6.5". I bought 5.25" and the fit (1992 plymouth acclaim) except the screw tabs are too short
4 cyl -650 6 cyl-950 if heads are ok
CarsDirect says P185/70SR14
It is inside the fuel tank.
4.5 quarts
My 1991 Plymouth Acclaim manual says mine is R12, but I can't say for the '92 It was built with R12, should be retrofitted to R134a.
It should have top posts.
The oil filter is on the lower front of the engine.
Under the flux capacitor
No crank sensor. Only has the distributor pick up plate.
The 1992 Plymouth Acclaim has a curb weight ranging from approximately 2,800 to 3,200 pounds, depending on the specific model and options. This mid-sized sedan was designed to be a practical and economical vehicle for its time. The weight can vary slightly based on features and engine configurations.
