To test the clutch switch on a 1990 Plymouth Laser with a manual transmission, first, locate the switch mounted on the clutch pedal assembly. Use a multimeter to check for continuity by disconnecting the switch connector and probing the terminals; the meter should show continuity when the pedal is depressed and no continuity when released. If the switch fails this test, it may need replacement. Additionally, visually inspect for any damage or loose connections that could affect operation.
A manual transmission does not have a neutral switch. It has a clutch switch, which is on the rod that attaches to the clutch pedal.
