It will be either defective fan switch, motor itself, blower motor resistor pack, blown fuse, or defective wiring. If the blower runs on high but no other speed, suspect the resistor pack.
Start by checking the Audi's blower motor fuse. Check the blower switch, resister, and lastly, check the motor to find the problem.
This likely is a problem with the blower motor module that is within the blower motor unit
fuse? switch? Selector?
Resistor or blower motor power module.
If by quit working you mean quit blowing, the things to troubleshoot are the blower motor, the blower motor resistor switch, or the blower motor speed selector switch. If by quit working you mean it only blows cold or warm air, the thermostat is probably stuck in the open position.
blower resistor especially if its chrysler/jeep or blower switch
The blower motor in your vehicle may not turn off due to a malfunction in the blower motor resistor, a faulty blower motor switch, or a problem with the electrical system. It is recommended to have a professional mechanic diagnose and repair the issue to ensure proper functioning of the blower motor.
You've got to use a test light to see if there is electricity getting to the switch. First check to see if it's getting past the fuse - then to the switch with the switch off - then through the switch with the switch on - finally to the blower motor.
Bad resistor at the blower motor? Bad blower motor switch?
The first thing I'd look at is the switch and then the connections to the blower motor. Try bypassing the switch and see if the blower motor starts. Also, don't forget the fuse controlling the blower motor. Replace it with a fuse of similar size and see if that corrects the problem. If all else fails, just replace the blower motor unit with another. Go to the wreckers and you can get it for less than half price.
Defective blower motor, blower motor resistor pack, or blower motor speed control switch.
If you are saying the blower motor will not work, then check the fuse. If the fuse is not blown, then it is possibly a defective Blower Motor Resistor Pack, blower motor, or blower motor speed control switch, in that order. If you are saying the blower motor will not work, then check the fuse.
