It is a small block
The 6.0 was offered in a big block in the 60's through the 90's in buses and medium duty trucks. In the late 90's GM built a small block 6.0 as well.
no
Chevy 350 bored 60 over. .... not the best way to come to a 358... The "NASCAR" way is to use a 400sbc block and a 327sbc crank. High revving and big hp up top.
Yes there is a 350 Big Block, they are very uncommon to find. the motor came from the ideas of the 350 big block as well as the But in the 1970's, Chevy came out with one of there own to counter the They where not used in everyday car's but, once in while you'd find them in car's that demanded a little more muscle. The closest thing to a 350 big block would be the 348 that started out as a truck motor in the late 50's and evolved into the 409. The next generation of big blocks began with the 396 in '65, then the 427 in '66. A 366 big block (tall deck) was also introduced in the 60's.
The Chevy small block is exactly that: one block... with many different piston sizes: 305, 350, 400, 502, etc... None of which will drop into a 95 and later Monte which is designed to hold a 60 degree V6. Lots of modification will need to be done.
No the 350 small block will not bolt up to the 3.1L V6. The 3.1 is a 60 degree block V6 and the 350 is a 90 degree block.
no, a 4.3 and a 2.8 have adifference of one being a 90 degree block and the other being a 60 degree block, so the will not bolt up direct to one another you would have to change the transmission, which would not be a real big task if you are running a two wheel drive with an auto transmission already
the firing order for small block chevys are the same from the 60,s to 90,s it is 18436572 clockwize drivers side starting from front is 1357 and pass side is 2468 Need the Diagram
I THINK IT COMES FROM 87 CHEVY TRUCK 2500 You are probably referring to a Chevy 327 engine which was popular in the late 60's and early 70"s in both cars and trucks.
well i have a 3 speed 1980 z28 with a 400 small block. that does 0-60 in 5 flat
the oil pump securing bolt is a 7/16-14 thread bolt x 2- 3/8 inch. long. it should be torqued to 60-70- ft. lbs. of torque
They only make 1 size head gasket. It don't matter if it is 10 20 30 40 or 60 over the factory head gasket will fit with no PROBLEM.
