The oil pan is the bottom half of the engine or transmission that holds the oil for the engine or transmission.

Jack up the front, remove the oil pan bolt to drain the oil in a pan, either remove the whole belly pan or remove I think two bolts so you can lower the small panel to remove the oil filter. Replace the oil filter and fill with oil, 5w30w, 5qts. 1pint.

You will need to drop the oil pan to change the oil pan on a Hummer 2. The oil pan is located in inside the oil pan. You also need to first drain the oil pan of the old oil before you drop the pan.
