Remove the engine sight shield. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) line from the canister purge solenoid, perform the following: * Push the large size white retainer portion in. * Push down, while pulling up slightly in order the disengage the tube.
Disconnect the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid bolt Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid and insulator Reinstall in reverse order....... toque spec is 91 inch lbs
I DO BELIEVE THE SOLENOID IS MOUNTED ON THE STARTER AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE STARTER TO REPLACE THE SOLENOID remove the starter and take it down to your local auto parts store. they can bench test the starter and give you the proper solenoid if it needs to be replaced.
All depends on the vehicle application. Usually you can disconnect the harness connector and remove from hose attachments or pushed into the charcoal canister assy.

Canister purge valve is located under the air cleaner assembly, remove the aircleaner and the airintake hose, remove air filter, underneath in air cleaner housing are 2 7/16 nuts,remove and take housing out. canister is underneath. valve closes to canister is the purge solenoid.

Its a problem with the evap system. You should disconnect the electrical connector and then apply and remove 12V power to the vent solenoid/valve. The difference between 12V applied and not applied should be the difference between not being able to blow through it and being able to. After testing at least 5 times, if it fails even once, replace the solenoid/valve. It is usually best to replace the canister as well as you might inadvertently break the canister while replacing the solenoid/valve. See related link for a video with more info.
Take down the transmission oil pan, remove the transmission filter if needed. Replace solenoid. Replace all and refill transmission
You can remove it and clean the filter inside it or you can replace it.
It's usually easier to remove the starter from the truck and do the work on a bench. Remove the bolts that hold the solenoid, put new solenoid in it's place. Reconnect.
