Blower Motor Resistor
Raise your hood. Look at Right Hand back firewall. (Passenger side)
You can see the rear of blower motor.
Look beside it there is a plug (I believe to the bottom right)
The small rectangle assembly under that plug is your resistor block.
Remove the 2 bolts that hold it to the firewall and pull it out.
Reverse procedure to reinstall.
Then you will be cooking -w- heat again
Built in the fan blower/motor.
Yes
Under the dashboard on the passenger side. 3 7mm hexhead bolts.
It is on the fire wall (center), un-plug the connector, remove the three screws that holds the blower in place, on top of the blower motor is a inspection cover that has two screws, I removed them first, you do not have to remove the weight that is on the out side (three screws) un less you think it is in you way, good luck. So whats the question WHY? Could be a bunch of things. How about checking the fuse first.
If the blower motor is bad then you need to replace it, you don't repair it. The blower is located under the hood and you will need loosen the cradle bolts to rock the engine to remove the blower motor. Book time for this job is 2 hours................
In a 1980 Cadillac Eldorado, the fuse for the blower motor is typically located in the fuse panel under the dashboard. It's usually a 25-amp fuse labeled specifically for the blower or heating system. To be sure, you can refer to the owner's manual or the fuse box cover for the exact location and specifications. Always ensure the vehicle is turned off before checking or replacing fuses.
It's close to the blower motor.
If the blower motor quits, replace the motor. If it freezes over have the a/c checked. I want to know what genus came up with the answer above me you guys serious
very simple task...first remove the rear seat, there you will see the motor, you should be able to take it from there.
sounds like a defective blower module
A 1998 Cadillac Deville does not have a blower relay. The system has a fuse and a controller to feed power to the blower motor.
