On the ( 4.0 liter V6 engine ) the oil pressure sending unit is on the drivers
side of the engine below the Power Steering pump on a 1997 Ford Ranger
( On the 2.3 liter four cylinder and the 3.0 liter V6 I don't know where it is

Yes, there is a knock sensor on the 2.3L. It is located on the rear driver's side of the cylinder head.

The 1997 Ford Ranger engines are fuel injected , so no carburetor
The crank shaft sensor is located jusy behind the harmonic balancer just to tge left as you are facing the engine.
That should be at the front of the engine by the crankshaft pulley / harmonic balancer
