Well, I had the same problem on my Bronco, Eddie Baur edition. It turned out to be a Maxi Fuse under the hood. Check your owners manual to find the proper fuse location.
It's an output that is set to on by a momentary input. i.e. a pushbutton turns on a light and the light stays on even when the button is not pressed. The output is 'latched'.
With the engine off, press and hold the odometer reset pushbutton. Start the car. Keep finger on odometer reset pushbutton until "oil life" message starts flashing. Release the button.
Blown fuse. Or it could be anything from loose wires to bad modules..
Listed in your owner's manual. However, the reset pushbutton performs two functions. The first function is to find or select the change oil light. The second function is to reset the change oil light. So, when the manual says press the reset pushbutton, it means to press and release, press and release, press and release, ... and so on.... until the change oil light is selected. The change oil light is selected when it begins to flash on and off. Once the change oil light is selected by it flashing on and off, press and hold the reset pushbutton again in solidly to actually reset the light. Hold the reset pushbutton in until the chimes sound. This confirms the change oil light is reset and the light should go out.*Remember* before you even begin resetting using the reset button, the car must be in neutral or park or it will not work.AnswerIf you do not have an oil change reset button located on the drivers side inside the fuse panel. Turn ignition key to the on position (with engine off). Depress accelerator pedal 3 times. Oil change light should blink and you should here a beep, light will go out. Turn ignition key off.
At the very bottom of the dashboard just to the left of the steering wheel there is a pushbutton - after making sure your tires are propery inflated, INCLUDING THE SPARE TIRE, turn on the ignition and depress the pushbutton and hold for 5-10 seconds. This should re-set the low tire pressure warning light.
It's under the panel with two screws in it on the dash, between the speaker covers. There will be 2 more screws that hold the box in there, and the reset button should be white with a red light next to it.
Your overdrive light could be faulty. You should check your fused and replace the one associated with the overdraft button.
Turn the headlight knob all the way to the left interior lights should light up reach up under the dash to the headlamp switch on top of the headlamp switch is a release button push the little button down and pull out the knob at the same time.
If yours is a skeleton stocked VERY light rifle, it was made by Garcia, Bronco is the model. These were made 1968-1978
Its the A/C button for Canadian cars. Or at least for me. If the light by the ECON button is on the A/C is off if the light is off the A/C is off.
check your brakes
The most common and cheapest fix has been in the pushbutton control on the dash. However it can go farther into a shift motor and/or a transfer case control module.
