There may or may not be one. Some Sunfires have one, some don't. My '96 does. It's located more or less, under the brake fluid reservoir.

On those that don't have a dipstick, I seem to recall that the procedure to check the fluid is to locate a filler plug under the car and on the transmission. Take it out and stick your finger in the hole. If you find/feel fluid, you're good to go.

there probably isn't one. Pontiac discontinued trans dipsticks in models earlier than yours. You have to check the fluid at the fill plug on the trans itself.

How do you check 5 speed trans fluid 2003 Hyundai elantra?

To check the transmission fluid on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with a 5-speed manual transmission, first, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick, which is typically found near the back of the engine bay. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then remove it again to check the fluid level. The fluid should be at the appropriate level indicated on the dipstick; if it's low, add the recommended transmission fluid through the dipstick tube.

How do you change the transmission fluid in a 2003 Sunfire coupe 2.2 when you can see neither drain nor filler plugs?

Assuming that this is an automatic trans... Remove the trans pan. It's messy, but that's the way it's done. Be advised that there is no way to change the other half of the trans oil that is still residing inside the passages & torque converter, without having a transmission fluid change pump system.
