from what i am told the fan relay is some where on the intake manifold most likely on the driver side

check if there is a fuse box under your hood. That's where mine is but it is a 97.
On the -87 Voyager the fuse for the lighter that (as stated below) also covers the horn is fuse #7 that is thesecond one from the top in the second row from the left. My 92 Voyager is doing this exact same thing. The problem with mine is the ignition switch...apparently a common problem with these vehicles. Currently trying to install a remote starter.

i'm having the same problem, the relay is under the hood, drivers side in fuse box.
Run the A/C all the time until you get it fixed. It will run anytime the A/C is on. It has to be a defective thermal switch, or defective wiring, for the fan if the fan itself is good. I had the same problem and it was a simple $11 relay switch that solved the problem
