To change the rear ABS sensor on a 2004 Ford Freestar, start by safely lifting and securing the vehicle. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then locate the rear ABS sensor, which is typically mounted on the rear axle. Remove the bolt securing the sensor, unplug the electrical connector, and pull the sensor out. Install the new sensor by reversing the removal steps, ensuring it's securely fastened and reconnected before lowering the vehicle and reconnecting the battery.
