Why were the delegates to the constitutional convention of 1787 sworn to secrecy?

They were planning to propose the replacement of the Articles of confederation with an entirely new basic instrument of government. They held it in secrecy so that nobody could influence the delegates and make it so they can change their minds about things.some were presidents others were delegates

What was the disagreement at the constitutional convention?

Some of the disagreements at the constitutional convention were that the delegates didn't want to make a whole new form of government. They didn't want it to be to strong or weak so that one state was more superior than the other. The delegates resolved this by doing more than just revising the Articles of Confederation and wrote a whole new constition.

When did the second continental congress approve the declaration of independence?

Actual independence was declared by the Second Continental Congress on July 2, 1776. On that date, a resolution to declare independence from Great Britain was passed by a voice vote. The journals of the Second Continental Congress record this vote. The written Declaration was then authorized in order to make it known to the world that the colonies had declared their independence and give the reasons for doing so. John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail that July 2 will be forever remembered as the day of independence and celebrated with parties and fireworks. He was off by two days even though he was actually correct.

Who said any job worth doing is a job worth doing well?

This is listed as a proverb; meaning no one is actually credited with the first time it was said. The earliest I know of is the quote;"In truth, whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well. This is recorded a letter dated 1746 from Lord Chesterfield of England" I hope this helps

Is ron Paul losing?

The important thing when running for nomination is delegates. The delegates from each state vote on who the nominee will be. In some states, the counties decide the state delegates, and the precincts decide the county delegates and so on. It is mathematically possible for someone who comes last in a state to collect all the delegates, and that is what Ron Paul claims to be doing in many states. Nevertheless, delegate estimates are putting him in last, and he hasn't won any state outright yet, so his campaign isn't going as well as the other candidates' so far.
