To the question "Can human beings use the earth any way they want" the answer is yes. However, if you rephrase the question to "Should human beings..." the answer is a resounding NO. While the Earth continues to astound us with its ability to heal itself, Earth is not an unlimited resource. The Natural Resources should be used sparingly and recycled judiciously to ensure it will be available for our descendants.

Were Africans the first people on earth?

AnswerYes, there is considerable scientific evidence to support this assertion. The oldest human fossils come from Africa, and it is unlikely that even older fossils will be found elsewhere. Supporting this is new DNA evidence, that indicates that the distant ancestors of all people alive today must have come from Africa.

Who was the first person to set foot on earth?

This depends on your definition of a person. The earliest man/woman or child to hav evolved into what we now accept to be a human would have had no concept of what was happening nor have the ability to pass the infromation on, so this question can never be answered with 100% accuracy. Unless of course you are religious & want to believe your faith.

What is a human being?

Brief Definition From Wikipedia:Humans, or human beings, are bipedal primates belonging to the mammalian species Homo sapiens(Latin: "wise man" or "knowing man") in the family Hominidae (the great apes).[1][2] Humans have a highly developed brain capable of abstract reasoning, language, and introspection. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees their upper limbs for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of tools than any other species. Humans originated in Africa about 200,000years ago, but they now inhabit every continent, with a total population of over 6.5 billion as of 2007.

Why is it important to have a reference stream if you want to gauge the effects of Homo Sapiens on streams?

Having a reference stream is important because it provides a baseline or control group against which you can compare the impact of Homo sapiens on other streams. By studying and monitoring both the reference stream and impacted streams, scientists can better understand the specific effects of human activities on aquatic ecosystems and implement targeted conservation strategies. This comparison helps to differentiate between natural ecological changes and those caused by human interference.

Their labor contributed significantly to the economy and infrastructure of the societies that enslaved them.
