if starter is turning but not cranking engine, u need to replace starter or starter solenoid and yes i have had a starter go out just like that and when mine went out i was 90 miles from a new one had to get a buddy bring one out
it is quite possible that your gas line is clooged or you need a new fuel filter.
There could be oil in the solenoid which is too thick in the morning but once it warms up later in the day the oil is thin enough to allow the solenoid to make contact and turn the starter. Is the solenoid clicking when you try to start it? It could also be a bad battery connection but it doesn't sound like it.
also have to add i dont know if something is drawing the juice overnight my buddy said it may be a bad ground but idk i put a portable jump starter on it in the morning and it starts fine just the battery is being drawn down overnight by something
ok solved the prob myself it was the ignition barrel kaput so now starting with screw driver lol , should cost about ten quid from scrappy or 50 ish brand new
The composition named "Morning Mood" by Edvard Grieg is about the rising of the sun in the early morning hours. It is a composition mostly played by alternating the flute and oboe.
If it's louder when the vehicle goes around a sharp corner, I'd be suspicious of CV joints. If the clicking gets faster as you speed up you might also check your tires. I could not figured out why my vehicle was making that noise til i realized it was a nail in my tire clicking on the street every time it went around.
get a battery with more cold cranking amps or use octain booster
Check to make sure your battery connections are tight. Take them both off, clean them and then put dilectric grease on them and reinstall and tighten them. Your starter needs all the cranking amperage it can get to turn the cold motor over and with just a little bit of dirt or corrosion, you may be losing just enough to make it hard to start. You may also have a broken wire ot the starter which means you are not getting complete current to the starter as well. Your battery and your alternator can be fine, but you really need to check the connections at the battery and even at the starter.
I think it could be your starter. Generally when it's cold, the starter mechanism gets stuck. This can happen if the starter is especially 7 years old or more. Good luck!!
For me in the past that has meant I am about to need a new starter.
Check your cold cranking amp from battery. May need a larger battery with more amps. Also you need a tune up
If all of the other remote functions work, the problem is most likely in the truck. Check all of the connections and the relay that control the remote starter functions of the truck.
It is a combination of things that contribute to cars not starting well in in cold temperatures. A car is started by a combustion reaction. For this to occur we turn the key that sends an an electrical current to turn the starter motor. This is a chemical reaction as with all chemical reaction its is slowed down in cold temperatures. As a result there is not as much power going to the starter motor. Another factor is the viscosity of the oil. When the oil is cold it is thicker and does not flow as well. It is also not as combustible. Another factor is Moisture. Cold air can not hold moisture as well as warm air. As a result the moisture in the air settles on surfaces. Just like morning dew on grass Your car will be wet on a cold morning. Moisture has a knack of finding its way into electrical components and so on. The moisture that gets into electrical connections can divert some of the power resulting in a loss of charge.
could be that your truck doesnt have a strong enough cold cranking amperage Not sure what year and make truck you have but in some vehicles if the engine coolant sensor fails it can have those symptoms.
since the car will crank after a few tries, your starter is the likely culprit. i regularly replace Camry starters for this exact symptom
Probably Not.
Sounds like a coolant temperature sensor as a guess. I had the same problem and it turned out to be the starter.
My best guess is that it's been manufactured by a corporation that has been producing lousy product for the past thirty years, and ultimately wound up in bankruptcy. Dump it.
