Most likely, your Pokemon team will not beat Red. Your Vaporeon and Snorlax are neglected by level, and would easily be defeated by Pikachu. Ho-oh and Lugia are part flying, and would also be defeated by Pikachu. Your Machamp most likely will not stand a chance after one or two hits, but your typhlosion might beat it.
In other words, you've neglected to train your Snorlax and Vaporeon (though vaporeon is useless on Pikachu).

yes it is a good team Vaporeon and Politoed are both water types. Hypno and Slowking are both psychic. It's generally not a good idea to double up like that, but a lot also depends on the move set. Also, after beating the elite-4 I would evolve the Togetic to Togekiss using a shiny stone from the pokethelon.

This is a good team all though you may run into problems from fighting type trainers when using steelix and snorlax, also psychic trainers when using poliwrath and gengar. Its a fine team just teach them moves to avoid there weaknesses.
