It's possible, but probably not feasible. You need to know the exact model of your transmission to know if it'll be compatible with the Power Stroke.
There is no such engine as a Cummins 2500 Diesel.
The international 7.3 powerstroke in your Ford uses 8 Gallons of coolant.
No. The higher HP Cummins require a different ECM. The increased HP engine was programed differently and was usually a *Celect Plus* . Also be aware that the ECM plug has a different wiring cofiguration and will not simply plug inton your OEM wiring harness.
we have a eng code 128s 370 02 we have a eng code 128s 370 02 we have a eng code 128s 370 02
There all different it depends on how you take care of it was it maintain the right way or not I have seen diesel engines with over 350,000 miles on them still running like new so it's hard to answer your question We had a powerstroke 7.3L diesel with 425K on the original internals. They replaced it with a 6.0 powerstroke and it dropped a valve at 40K. So you never know.
If you compare the 7.3L Powerstroke to the 5.9L Cummins, I'd say equal quality. If you compare the 6.0L Powerstroke to the 6.7L Cummins, Powerstroke loses. If you compare 6.4L Powerstroke to 6.7L Cummins I'd say equal quality for that one too. The new 6.7L Powerstroke produces more power than the 6.7L Cummins and it is supposed to be the best Powerstroke engine ever. The warranty has been extended from 100,000 miles to a 125,000 miles! I'm so excited about this new Powerstroke. Ford says it is designed for an easy 300,000 miles. I don't know. Only time will tell if the 6.7L Cummins is better than the 6.7L Powerstroke. The cummins would defeat the powerstroke no its the other way around you have no idea what your are talking about because the power stroke would kill the dodge there is no power in the dodge
Depends cummins powerstroke or duramax or even a little TDI Jetta are all different
Need to know what engine you have in order to answer this. In 2003, Freightliner had the option of Detroit, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Mercedes-Benz diesel engines.
They often are, in medium and heavy duty applications.
Adjust the parameters in the engine ECM. This will require the engine ECM software (DDEC for Detroit or Insite for Cummins) and a Diagnostic Link Connector (such as Cummins Inline 6 or NexIQ).
Most people say that Cummins is the best diesel engine but not with the new 6.7L offered in Dodge Ram trucks. The Ford Powerstroke Diesels put out more power than the Cummins by 40 horsepower and 85 pound feet of torque. Also, the new 6.7L Cummins engine has been known to overheat, stall, and the turbos are blowing in them at around 30,000 to 40,000 miles. The Cummins can't idle for more than 6 minutes or it will overheat and shut off and you must take it to the dealer to get the problem fixed. Let's compare. 6.4L Powerstroke diesel does not overheat, does not stall, but there ARE turbo problems with them. But that is no problem with the new 2011 6.7L Powerstroke diesel. As for Duramax, they've always been behind in quality but not power. So I'd say, here in 2010, that Powerstroke is the BEST diesel engine available in a pickup truck.
Depends on which engine it has in it. For that MY, you might have a Cummins 6BT, 3116 Cat, 3126 Cat...
Need an engine make and model to answer this. You either have a Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz, Cummins, or Caterpillar engine.
The Cummins motor is not a "Dodge". Dodge does use the "b" series Cummins engine in its pick up trucks. Ford does use the Cummins in its F650 and larger trucks. NO, Ford never has used the Cummins Diesel as far as I know. Up until 2010 the Powerstroke was built by Navistar, formerly International Harvester. In 2010 Ford starting building the Powerstroke themselves but kept the name. Dodge uses the Cummins diesel and GM uses the Duramax which was designed jointly with isuzu.
You left the important piece of information out - the engine make and model. The FLD120 was available with a number of engine options from Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, and Cummins.
Depends on the value and overall condition. I believe that model is built on a Freightliner chassis, meaning it would have either a Cummins or Mercedes-Benz engine.. the Cummins would be the better option.
