I assume you mean that it won't STOP leaking. If the leak is coming from the parts you replaced, then there is a defect, or you cross-threaded or failed to tighten something. But the leak may be coming from the rack (the part between the front wheels that the lines go to). THAT is a major job to replace. It could also be coming from a cracked fluid reservoir.
yes it does, as every other fluid does to. it does lose it's optimum lubrication and cleaning agents which can cause power steering pump and rack premature failure. it should be changed as regularly as every 30-40,000km

Generally it would be cheaper to replace the unit with a used one from a salvage yard. If the power steering fluid has metal particles in it the pump has failed. At this point the entire system including pump, hoses and rack should be swapped out. The reason is that you can NEVER get all the abrasives out of the plumbing and if you replace just the spool valve contamination in the fluid will quickly destroy your repair work.
George Lincoln Rockwell (1918-1967) formed the Union of Free Enterprise National Socialists in 1959 and later changed the name to American Nazi Party.
Your power steering pump runs a power steering rack on that model I believe. If your vehicle has many miles, the rack bushings may not be maintaining internal pressure. The steering rack may need to be replaced. I have not worked on this model of car, however, this is a common problem on many domestic cars. I hope this helps you. Mark

ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE PITMAN ARM? MAYBE YOU MEAN THE IDLER ARM? THE PITMAN ARM IS RALREY EVER CHANGED. THIS IS THE ARM THAT CONNECTS THE STEERING LINKAGE TO THE POWER STEERING BOX. ITS AT THE BASE OF THE STEERING BOX , UNDER THE CAR, IT PROTRUDES FROM THE STEERING BOX SHAFT CONNECTING SAME TO THE CENTER LINK.
The proper hand position on the steering wheel used to be 10 and 2 but it has changed and is now 9 and 3. I am not 100% why it changed but I believe it changed so you could have a better grip on the steering wheel.Part of the reason for the change was to have your arms out of the way of the airbag.

You can convert manual to power steering on a 1969 Camaro. the steering box will need to be changed, and a pump and brackets as well as fluid lines will need to be added.
