He only has to do what's in the contract.
Why in the world would you want to paint a marbelite or plaster pool?
You haven't said 'repair it from what' . In general, I would rub over the scratch or whatever with the finest possible 'wet 'n dry' paper and soapy water. When your fingertips cannot detect the difference between new and old finish, then repaint with the spray.
Between $1.25 and $1.50 per sq foot. It depends on a few things. Are supplier included (paint, materials), is it a repaint in a furnished home (lost of furniture to move, must be extremely neat) is it a repaint in an empty house (for a house flipper- are floors getting replaced), or is it new construction(lots of caulking, nail hole filling, and priming). Sometimes, like with no materials included and an empty house, it can be as low as .40, other times near 2.00. Like most things in life "it depends"....
If I was going to repaint this, then I'd remove both the latex and the old oil base with a chemical stripper. Then re-prime it and paint.
They are not out of date if that's the original style of your house. Check out paint magazines for how to make them look great.
This all depends on the terms of your lease.
It depends on the condition of the unit when the tenant moves out. Normal wear and tear is typically the landlord's responsibility, but if there is excessive damage beyond normal wear and tear, the landlord may be able to charge for repainting. Check your lease agreement and local laws for specific details.
Repaint is a verb.
I had to repaint my picture because it was so sloppy.
Depends on the state you live in. In Wisconsin, the landlord MUST repaint any unit between tenants. The short answer is: he (or she) is NOT required to paint an apartment. Generally, whether a landlord paints an apartment depends entirely on the conditions of the rental market at the time and location. If it's a landlord's market, don't expect the landlord to paint, even if the place is a mess. The responsibility and cost of painting will be on the renter. Renters should get the landlord's permission in writing before painting, however. In a renter's market, landlords may offer to paint the place before you move in. If you've been living there a while and your lease is ending, the landlord may be willing to paint your unit if he doesn't want to lose you as a tenant. But I certainly wouldn't expect an apartment to be pointed more frequently than once every five years or so. Any tenant of mine that required his unit to be painted more often than that is not one I'd want to keep.

You aren't really supposed to repaint it but if you do it looks best with chrome paint.
