Get a Russian guy to help you lift it out. Just kidding, but you should use an engine hoist. Maybe a forklift, tractor, or bobcat but its best to use a hoist because its important to go very slow and you have to pull the engine forward first, then up.
Hoist is a noun (a hoist) and a verb (to hoist).
chain hoist and com-a-long
Too broad of a question to answer without knowing the make of your truck, and the motor which is in it.
To show his anger at aboriginal social injustice
This you could get away with for awhile without further damage. Motor mounts have a built in safety device to keep the engine in place when the rubber mount breaks.
you may have to pull the motor mount bolts and hoist the motor up in the air high enough to slide the pan out
a car lifter or a motor lifter
Either a hoist or a jack under the sump.
unbolt motor mounts use engine hoist
It is impossible to do it you have to pull the engine
The same way men do; push, pull, or hoist it out.
Easiest thing to do is lift the motor about 4" with a hoist, removing the entire mount bracket on both motor AND the Rack. Replace the mount without the brackets mounted, and install the entire assembly as one piece
No. If you don't have an engine hoist you can disconnect subframe (that holds engine and tranny), set it on a dolly and lift car up and pull engine and tranny out. This is very dangerous and you should not do it if you are not mechanically inclined and you should not do it at all! You may become injured or killed.
Attached - hands down.....heavier, but easier
Pull the motor or pull the transmission, one of them has to come out.
