On a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix, the starter is located on the lower passenger side of the engine, near the transmission. To change it, first disconnect the battery to avoid electrical shorts, then remove the starter's electrical connections and the mounting bolts. It’s often easier to access the starter from underneath the vehicle, so using ramps or jack stands can help. After removing the old starter, install the new one by reversing the process, ensuring all connections are secure.
