Located just underneat middle of intake maifold, about

mid rear engine area. Difficult, not impossible to get to.

1: Remove battery and battery tray, 4 bolts 6-10 ft-lbs

(may need to cut some ty-wraps

2: Disconnect speedometer cable.

(located down and slightly in

from bottom battery tray bolts, a a SMALL pipe wrench for

this twist off connector works good, or by strong hands)

3: ON 1.8L models, remove 2 bolts and small maifold bracket

13-18 ft-lbs

4: Disconnect electrical connections. 1 plub, 1 nut to gnd

cable

5: Remove (2) starter anchor bolts , 20-25 ft-lbs, then starter.

Reverse to replace. AS you go, removing some hoses and

connnectors might make it easier, not absolutuely necessary.

Getting an Amazon used Laser reapir manual cheap not a bad idea,

Neither really necessary.
