first install new carb gasket to intake manifold and then 4 nuts hold the carb to the intake studs and then install the throttle linkage to the carb.

when you buy a rebuild kit for it it should have instructions, very simple carb to rebuild.
If your replacing a slant 6 with another slant 6 it will bolt right in.

Yes, a 318 will fit a 6 slant engine in a 1970 Dodge Dart. You will need to also have all a bigger radiator, new engine mounts, fuel line, and clutch to name a few.
