∙ 10y agoif you mean the ignition lock cylinder in the steering column you need a special depressing tool to remove a lock ring inside the column after steering wheel removal, remove the depressing tool, remove three screws that hold the turn signal cam pull that towards you and there is a 5-16 headed screw you take out next and the lock cylinder will come straight out ,put the new one back in . installation is the reverse of removal. but if you mean the actual ignition switch you have to remove an interior colored plate(2 bolts usually)right there under the steering column then remove two 15 mm nuts the column should drop down enough for you to unplug old switch and replace with the new on you got to be sure that switch is in the right position for the rod alignment adjust switch as necessary by two 5-16' screws and your done .replacement is opposite of removal process also make sure to remove the string for your gear indicator before you drop the column or you 'will' break it.
