disconect your battery cable perferably the ground for 15 to 30 seconds and hook it back up it should reset your computer and cancel out your problem if it come back that means you have a problem and it is throwing code telling to go the computer to find out what is failing but only your mehcanic can do this for you. ∙ 13y agoYou will need a device to plug into the car's OBD2 connector. These can be obtained at most auto parts stores for $50 or less. Follow the instructions to reset the light. Also can be used to examine the code that caused the light to come on and the code can be used to follow a troubleshooting tree to correct the problem. If you reset the light without correcting the underlying problem, the light will come back on eventually.

You would have to have service B performed by a authorized Mercedes Benz technician. There is a special laptop they hook up to the cars after these services are performed in order to get rid of that message on your dash. On the CLK 320 Cabrolet you have to perform a series of actions on your dash i.e. reset button etc. to reset the service reminder. There is no plug in for a Mercedes techniciam to reset the reminder.

My 2005 Chevy 4wd, ext. cab,shrt bed, has push buttons to go from(from top to bottom) Auto 4wheel drive, to 2 High , then to N(neutral), and then to 4 high, then to 4 low. At approx. 50,000 mi. the service indicator light came on and indicated "Service 4wd." I re-set the indicator, and forgot about it. Now, at 63,000 mi. it's telling me to service the 4wd, only this time the reset works until I turn the ignition off. when I restart, the service light comes on. However, the indicator lights that show which gear the transfer case is in, does not light up, and there is no automatic shifting of the transfer case. Is there a simple solution to this problem?
