Hey Matt==If you would have stated what kind of car you are working on it would be simplier. There are screws that hold the light on and don't confuse them with the adjusting screws. GoodlluckJoe
I detail Headlights at used car dealerships and I use the Crystalenz Headlight Restoration Kit. When you use this product you do NOT have to take the lights off. This product works really well, check out their website www.crystalenz.com for more info.

Bit of a nightmare, you need to take the whole light off by taking 3 nuts offfrom the inside.
Quick guide: 1) Locate the light bulb you want to change. 2) Take a baseball bat (aluminum or wood) and use it to break any plastic seal/casing around the bulb. 3) Once you've shattered all of the plastic around it, you are free to remove the bulb. Hope that helps and Merry Christmas! :)
the best way to start out is to undo all the wiring on the intake, then take off your belt, alternator, alternator bracket,hoses,manifold,2 gas lines and power steering pump, then take off your valve cover and remove your push rodes and rocker arms and leave them in order from which you took them off then take off. then take off your head bolts and replace them to or else it will blow again then you should be able to take your head off, and heres a lil trick to help it from blowing, buy some aluminum spray paint and paint the gasket block and head right before you put it on and it will help the gasket seal.
Unscrew it from the rear of the light. You may have to take it off to do this.
Take all the shrouds off remove the head bolt remove the head gasket clean off the dirt then reverse the process. Hope this helps
