I tried this but still can't see where the clip is that is supposed to be behind the crank. Anyone else have suggestions??

On a 1998 GMC Sonoma, the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is typically located on the valve cover. You can find it on the driver's side, near the back of the engine. It may be secured with a grommet or a clip, and it connects to a vacuum hose that leads to the intake manifold. Make sure to check the vehicle's manual for specific details and diagrams.
