Usually not.
Injectors give better gas mileage and often a smoother throttle response. Particularly for cold starts, injectors will outperform carbs.
Switching from injector to carbs would only make sense for some race applications.
So which is it? Carb or Throttle Body? Throttle body is a single (sometimes 2) electronic fuel injectors mounted in a carburetor LOOKING device that sits on the intake manifold. A flooding throttle body injector system is caused by faulty electrical to the injector or more likely a sticking injector. If the problem isn't too severe yet, use some injector cleaner before you spend a lot of money. If it's a CARBURETOR, you have a sticking needle & seat or a damaged float inside the float bowl. It's a relatively simple job to rebuild the carburetor but if you have never done it before, you might want to just replace your carb with a rebuilt one.
It means you have a fuel injection system not a carburetor.
Yes, it can be done, but why in the world would you want to replace a system that is more efficient, will yield better mileage, quicker starts, better performance, with a carburetor? Fuel Injection is superior to a carburetor in every way.
The AE92's never used carbs the last carb system for the corolla was used on the 4AC in the AE85.
No '95 Neon should have a carburetor, if yours does then there's the problem.Seriously though its a throttle body injector and is controlled by your on-board computer. So many things can cause an OBD-II type system to go awry that it's a waste of time to try to guess what the problem is.More than likely its one of the dozen of sensor's you have that help regulate fuel. You need an OBDII compatible scanner to pull codes & diagnose the problem.Sorry to say but your best bet is a good repair shop.
No, it has a throttle body fuel injection system (TBFI). It may look like a carburetor but it is not. The injector is mounted inside the throttle body that looks like a carburetor.
Yes it is a single point fuel injection system. What appears to be a carburetor is in reality a throttle body housing for the injector located inside. If you remove the air filter and look down the throat you will see the injector.
It is fuel injected. It may appear to be a carburetor but is in reality a throttle body fuel injection system with one injector.
A vehicle with a carburetor has a venturi.
Very little, if any at all. The carburetor is not what makes the horse power, The rotateing system and Valve train is what makes HP.
the only way to put fuel injection on a bike with carbs is can the ignitopn and carbs and have some whiz kid map you a new igniton system and have a fuel injector system that might work with a madura
secondary system
Just spray some carburetor cleaner into the carburetor and then let the car idle for a bit. In addition to the above answer add a can of Seafoam or Techron fuel system cleaner to a full tank of fuel once each year.
Well, you have to replace the heads with a carbureted head, but why would you want to? Fuel injection is a much better system, especially if you're trying to modify an engine to get more power and better performance out of it.
It does not have a carburetor; it has a multi-point injection fuel system.
unfortunetly they dont have individual injectors they have a spider injector system which you have to remove the upper intake plenum remove the whole system and replace. they also cost upwards of 300 dollars at a dealer. not sure if they make them after maket either. hope this helps
No, it has a Multi-Point Fuel Injection system. There is no carburetor.
