In order to answer your question, I need more information such as when you turn the key what sounds do you hear eg: clicking, rubbing, grinding, arcing or nothing? When was the last time the vehicle was serviced, and what did they service? Three things need to happen when you turn the key and several switches need to checked in order for the firing sequences to happen. So the more you can tell me the better I can help you.
just lock the door with the key pad and unlock it with the key pad. get in and it should crank.
bad ignition or you have a serious short.
Check your timing belt, harmonic balancer and the either two or three belts that connect to the harmonic balancer
it may sound like its towards the rear but its actually caused by a bad cv joint. more than likely its the right side
If it were the ignition switch, the vehicle would not start even with a jump. The battery is either not holding a charge or the alternator is not providing the charge to the battery. You can have the battery and the alternator checked (usually free of charge) at an auto parts store,
What about it?
but will second time start.
Honda civic Lx 2000 wont start it was idling really low it just turn off on me now it wont start it cranks over like wants to start but nothing
The cost to replace a transmission on a Honda Civic depends on where the transmission is purchased, if it is new or used, and the charge of labor if any at all. Some used transmissions for a Honda Civic can start around $500. A new transmission can start around $1,700.
When airbags deploy on a Honda Civic the SRS system is alerted. This will not allow the car to properly start. The SRS system will need to be properly reset.
If you are looking to purchase a used Honda Civic VTi, a good place to start would be with used car dealerships. Any Honda dealership would have new Honda Civic VTis available. If they didn't, they could order one in for you.
check the distributor
Who knows the answer? I have the same problem with my 91 Honda Civic Hatchback. Thanks.
www.b20vtec.com would be a good place to start or www.honda-tech.com
If your 1994 Honda Civic is unable to start, the problem could be a connector that is not well fitted from the transmission installation, especially if you just replaced your transmission.
If a 1997 Honda Civic will not star there may be an issue spark. When there isn't enough spark to ignite the fuel the car will not turn on.
Give it to the repairer
