These engines as you probably know, start instantly and the glow plugs rarely activate unless it is very cold.Sounds more like air being drawn into the fuel system.Has it recently had a fuel filter change?Pipes may not be quite on.Had the water drain open?Been over rough ground, dislodged a pipe joint? Are you sure all four glow plugs are ok in the event of it being cold enough to need them, they are easy to test.
you burn out your starter or your fly wheedl
Ignition switch is located above brake pedal on column. It has long flat electrical connector to it. If by ignition switch you mean the key tumbler: Remove steering wheel. Remove lock plate. Remove Turn signal switch. Remove screw retaining ignition. There should be a code stamped on the ignition. If the ignition is still good a locksmith can cut the key from the code. Might be cheaper to slap a new one if you have already got that far though.
A flat camshaft could cause this if you have already ruled out wrong wire order and any other ignition problems. Each factor would have to be checked in order to determine the real problem.
I went through the same problem. Finally went back through and reconnected my ground wire again to a different spot. Great spark, problem solved. Worth a shot. (and its free)
Disconnect the battery Remove the plastic column cover. between the ignition and the steering wheel towards the bottom you will see a pin hole. inside that pin hole you will see a little silver pin.you will need a metal pick that fits into the hole. insert the key and turn like you are going to start it.insert the pick, push the pin and pull the key out. the whole lock cylinder will come with the key. just pull straight out to the right --do not turn it should already be on the furthest forward position.
It already has electronic ignition.
It's already here.
YES AND THE CALIBRA DID ALSO SOME COME WITH THE BUTTONS ALREADY THERE BUT NOTHING BEHIND IT!!!
bad, you can break teeth of of your flywheel or your starter
you burn out your starter or your fly wheedl
CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH,,, THEY HAVE A HABIT OF GOING BAD
The phrase "had already left" is grammatically correct. The phrase "had already been gone" is not grammatically correct.
The difference is that an instict is something you already know how to do but not for a learned behavior.
If you havent already got one you will need to put an electronic ignition box on the truck. They're pretty easy to install.
Well, I don't see that it would help it any! There are 2 keys for a reason! Why would you want to insert the door key in the ignition? It surely won't start the vehicle! Unless the ignition is already screwed up and can start with anything! The tumblers in the the locks for the ignition and doors are different! It would be like putting your house key in the car! Won't work!
2 tips- an msd ignition and a trans with overdrive if you don't already have one.
Have you already replaced the coil?
