What are some drawing tips?

Practice as much as you can is the biggest thing. You may become impatient with this, but you really have to try. I've been drawing since I was about 4 or 5 and I've been drawing ever since.

Try different styles of art, such as pop art or Cartoons etc. then you'll find what style of art you prefer. I like all art, and trying different things is important to keep up your imagination.

Make sure you have a sharp pencil, a rubber, and a sharpener. That's all you need when you start. Go on the internet, look at other people's work. I like to search .deviantart and look at other people's styles and how they like to draw. Get some ideas, and doodle on cheap paper and just practice for a bit.

Start to draw maybe cartoons for example. Copy a Minnie Mouse picture, and even change it if you want to. If you want a good finish, outline it in black pen and colour in with either pencils or good quality pens such as Staedtler triplus color fibre tip pens. I got them from the local Tesco's. They were about 5 pounds.

Try drawing a simple shape, such as a circle and draw an X where you want light to be coming from. Imagine where that light would be going. It would be going in all different directions, but some places it can't get to like the back of the circle. Shade darker at the far end of the circle and lighter where the light is hitting. Now, our circle isn't floating, so add a shadow at the bottom. You now have yourself a sphere.
