One reason would be that both low beams are burned out. It happens. Other than that, I suppose it could be a relay problem (usually under the hood near a strut tower). This has been a re-call issue and is common on this model. I had received a recall notice to have my dimmer switch for the 2001 replaced but ingored it. Sure enough i was driving on a long trip and my dimmer lights stopped working and I only had bright lights. I contacted my dealer and it was replaced. Thanks
Maybe a burnt bulb or a blown fuse. In the owners manual it has the location of all the fuses and what they are for.
If it just lasts for 1 or 2 seconds, it is the clutch plates ratteling and not to worry.
could be transmission damage. At the least the cv axle was probable broken. The cv axle should not bt that hard to replace, but the transmission is a different story.
Check fuel and fire. Pull a plug and smell for raw fuel, and check the plug and see if there is fire to the plug. If I checked the plugs and it is not getting fire or fuel at all what could cause that problem.
Most probably, you have a valve cover gasket that is bad, and the oil is dripping down onto the exhaust manifold, and is being burned. Replace the valve cover gasket.
hereTry these two things to confirm its the alternator. First have your battery check, sounds as if there is a drained cell.( if this is the case try jump starting car and letting it run for 5 - 10 minutes before shutting off car and doing a restart.) Second thing, was the alternator check at the part store before you left, it could have a bad bendix in it and have to be returned. Also try the main relay I had the same issue and its the main relay that sends fuel it is located on the firewall to the right of the steering column.
Terrible engineering that's why it's a Honda
A bad muffler on a 96 civic could cause loud exhaust noise. The muffler could cause hard starting if it is stopped up.
a wire could have came loose
Possibley, the Clutch sensor, or the transmission is going.
One of the causes could be a hole in the exhaust
The blower in my 2001 Honda Civic did not stop working.
NO.An oil change will not harm the sensor.
A blocked fuel filter could cause the engine to lose power on a 92 Honda Civic DX. Fuel injectors that need changing or cleaning could also be the cause.
The best way to get reliable information about your Honda Civic is to visit a Honda dealer. Professional sellers and mechanics will be able to help you.
Every year Honda Civic sold could be purchased with a manual transmission.
Try the main relay. Mine was behind the glovebox on a 1996 civic. Good luck.
Worn brake drum pads and possibly your wheel bearing.
