What could cause my ford 250 1996 7.3 diesel to shut off have a new crank sensor good fuel pressure about 40 psi new fuel filter all fuses good but still won't start?

hmmmm I don't know did you check the fuel distributor, try putting starting fluid where the AIR intake is then try to start it if it wants to start but doesn't you know it is something with the fuel.

The sensor can certainly cause this. the pressure switch could be in two different locations. Either on the back of the intake manifold, or on the engine block close to the oil filter.
