if the timing belt is not moving when engine is cranking,it means you have broken a cam,or a belt pulley.do not keep cranking as you can damage other parts of the engine such as the valves

Probably sheared a few cogs off the timing belt. Time for a new belt.

this sounds like a timing issue to me. your engine will try to compensate for it but isnt 100% if you have a timing chain, then this is probably your problem, if you have timing belt, then you might have slipped a notch which is not too rare, but less likely then an old timing chain going bad. this is the only cause i can think is most likely your problem, other than internal engine parts going bad which i highly doubt, so check out the timing belt or chain if the chain isnt 100% tight, then you need to replace it before it does permanent damage. It could be any number of things. Start by checking basic tuning, check and clean spark plugs, check timing. Inspect for air leaks. Do a compression test.
