Input Speed Sensor is on Front of Trans closer to the engine. Output is on the front, farther to the drive side. Both are two wire sensors.
They are the two wire sensors that are screwed into the front of the transmission case. The input is closer to the engine.
I suppose that it would depend on the transmission used. I have a 1992 G30 (slowly falling apart with 251,000 miles on it) with the 4L-80 E Transmission (heavy duty 4 speed electronically controlled auto). There are two speed sensors, both on the left (driver's)side of the transmission. Both have a two-wire connector. The input speed sensor is located towards the front of the tranny, and the vehicle speed sensor is located towards the back. The input speed sensor measures the transmission's input speed (i.e. the rate that the engine is turning the input to the transmission) while the vehicle speed sensor is used for measuring the vehicles speed (i.e. the rate at which the rear wheels are turning). Its signal is also used for the speedometer - there is no speedometer cable going to the speedometer. Mine is currently busted - transmission won't upshift and speedometer reads 0. Replaced the sensor to no avail. Someone suggested that I check the ignition switch, as part of it might be broken. In general we have had a lot of problems with the electronics on this van, including wiring and connectors failing. Good luck with yours. Richard Rea
It is the same thing as a pilot bearing. Goes into the rear of the crankshaft to support the input shaft of the transmission.
Depends. If it is a serviceable transmission- Yes, it will break down over time as well as absorb moisture from the air. Older vehicles even have to have band adjustment specs. Refer to your owners guide, if you dont have a copy, the manufacturer's website should have the maintenance specifications available at no charge. Different types of fluids are not compatible, be sure to get the right type or you will damage your transmission. Newer car's have non serviceable transmissions. Easy way to check is, if you don't have a dipstick the fluid is lifetime. These transmissions have solenoids that adjust line pressures in the transmission to adjust for wear(as the input/output shaft sensors detect slippage. When these transmissions doesn't work properly anymore more than likely, it needs to be rebuilt. Just because the trans does not have a dipstick does not mean that the fluid never needs checked or changed. Check your owners manual for service schedules.
Input. You draw on it, the movements are converted into digital data which goes INTO the computer. The answers are normally the logical ones.
Web cam is an input device.

yes .. Change filter, then try output and input transmission speed sensors.
It measures the speed of the transmission input shaft. The transmission computer uses this info for shift timing.

They read the speed of the input and output components of the transmission.

Depends on what transmission we are talking about... if its the A413 its real simple, the speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission, right about where the passenger side axle goes into the transmission... the sensor is held in with 1 10mm bolt, when removing you will have to wiggle the sensor back and forth because it will be a tight fit because the sensor has an 0 gasket on it.... if its the A604 4speed transmission, then there is 2 speed sensors that are plasic, an input and an output speed sensor, the input is located near the trans dip stick, im not sure where the output is.
you need to replace the input and output speed sensors. same thing happened to my 99 breeze. cost about 20 dollars for each sensor.
the input and output speed sensors are on th driver side of the transmission located one on each side of the dipstick
The three sensors are [input sensors] that are wired to the Transmission Controller to give speed information to the Controller for proper shift points,[up-shifts-down shifts Input Turbine Speed.... Output Turbine Speed.. Vehicle Speed sensor...
