Pokémon SoulSilver and Pokémon White will not work with one another in the sense of battling with one another or trading with one another however you can use the two games in order to do a one way transfer of your Pokémon in "Pokémon SoulSilver" in order to upload them into your "Pokémon White" game however items attached to Pokemon that will be transferred over cannot be holding items but they will be removed and placed back in your game's bag, the Pokemon cannot know HM moves such as Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Defog, Whirlpool, Waterfall and Rock Climb however a Pokemon that knows Defog can actually be sent from HeartGold or SoulSilver since it is not a HM move in those games.

You can find rare candies in mountains and you can use th dowsing machine.Rare candies can level up Pokemon,but beware,the Pokemon wont be as strong as the level is. It will get a bit stronger but not as strong as you think...:(
