You've realigned the marks, but did you check which piston stroke? The marks will align in two instances, top dead center on the compression stroke, and top dead center of the exhaust stroke. I'd bet money that you've aligned the timing marks to TDC exhaust stroke. That would explain 0 compression in all cylinders. Rotate your crank shaft by itself (leave the camshaft where it is) 360 degrees (one full turn) and you should then by aligned to TDC compression stroke, as it is supposed to be.
You will have to do a wet & dry compression test to verify but you may have a problem in the valve train(burned valve etc.) or cylinder ring areas.
Do a compression test. I'm not sure but the engine may not be a non-interferance engine which means it may have bent valves or more damage.
The timing marks, on your 1.6 liter engine, can be found on the front of the main pulley. The timing marks will be scattered around the outside of the pulley.
Timing is probably off. Set number 1 piston at TDC and check the timing marks. If applicable, also remove cap from distributer and check position of rotor, it may need adjusting for correct timing.
Yes the timing chain position marks for engine 4.0 ford explorer eddie bauer
Double check all the timing marks, be sure they are all pointing where they should.
I think the computer automatically calculates timing. No marks.
The timing marks are on the timing cover for the crank pulley, and on the cyl head for the cam ...
There are no timing marks. The timing is controlled by the PCM. Power control module. It is not possible to set the timing with a timing gun.
There is no suck thing as a timing sensor. The timing marks for a escort are not on the cams you must use a straight edge.
It has no timing marks because the ignition timing is set by the computer and isn't adjustable.
Timing marks are located next to the timing belt. They are the marks that indicate the timing belt is no longer aligned to the engine. they indicate whether or not a timing belt needs replaced.
Ford Escorts from 91 to present don't have timing marks because the timing is controlled by the engine computer.
i need to find timing on my 2.0 zx2 z tech eng
The cover on the passenger side of the motor has long lines on it, those are your timing marks. Hold the timing gun above them and look directly down to the crankshaft pully.
May be computer controlled and not adjustable
If you are talking about ignition timing there are no marks. The timing is controlled by the computer according to various parmeters of sensors. If you are talking about valve timing the camshaft mark is on the head and the crankshaft mark is on the oil pump housing.
One is on the crankshaft pulley the other is on the camshaft pulley.
