there are little blue clips on the inside cover that need to be popped out...i recommend starting at one of the top corners and working across...it takes a good amount of pressure to get them to POP off.
if some of the blue clips are left in the actual hatch side i recommend using needle nose pliers to pop them out and put them back into the panel so when you put the panel back on it will hold it secure and not be loose to vibrate when you drive down the road
