Most likely the guide on the bottom of the regulator broke. take the door apart and check. most likely, you need a new window regulator.
Its cheaper to buy a regulator than to fix the old one, check Ebay they have great deals on regulators, good luck
The 2001 Kia fuel pressure regulator can be found on the top of the engine. The fuel pressure regulator will be near the back of the engine.

Sounds like the window regulator. Mine did the same thing changed that and no more problems, it cost about 75.00 for the part.
