The price will be different depending on a lot of variables:
1) Repair shop labor rate. A dealership may charge more, but their technicians will be better trained and have the proper manuals and tools to do the job according to factory specifications.
2) Price of the part. The shop can charge whatever they like, but you may get competitive prices by contacting more than one shop. A second hand one can be gotten for less than €100.
3) How much work is done. Is the problem the Power Steering pump, or is the power steering rack. It's often impossible to tell where the problem lies until one of the parts is changed.
that's the stuff you need!
You can not remove a power steering pump on your car and expect it to handle like a car with out power steering. Removing the pump will make it very hard to steer because the rest of the steering components are made for power steering.
changed from green to red top in 1999
The first thing that will happen is that the steering will become increasingly harder to use. And if not repaired this could lead to engine problems as well.

How do you remove a Saab 9.5 transmission
To replace the power steering belt on a Saab 900, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety. Loosen the tensioner bolt and the belt tension using a wrench, then remove the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt by threading it around the pulleys, ensuring it is seated properly. Finally, adjust the tension on the new belt, tighten the tensioner bolt, and reconnect the battery.
You have to go to your local Saab dealer to get a new key. Unfortunately that cost a lot of money !
