On a 1995 Buick Riviera, the shift lock release is typically located near the gear shift lever, often concealed by a small cover or cap. You can usually access it by pressing down on the brake pedal and then inserting a flathead screwdriver or similar tool into the slot to manually release the shifter. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
