It is at the outlet of the upper radiator hose where the hose connects to the engine. Causes for replacement are no readings at the temp guage or very slow reaction time of this guage after you start up the engine. It could take up to 15 to 20 minutes for the correct temp to come up even if the thermostat is working properly. If you had the car from new you would have noticed this temp coming up sooner. It is taken out with a 12 metric wrench. Replace with an original sensor from Toyota as a replacement will not work properly causing the engine light to come on!
where is coolant sensor on a 97 buick lasbre
The coolant temp sensor on a 97 Buick Century is on the side of the radiator. It is just below the radiator cap.
On my '91 it's below the thermostat.
low antifreeze , or faulty coolant sensor .
Well, honey, the coolant temperature sensor on a 1995 Toyota Tercel is usually located near the thermostat housing or on the cylinder head. To replace it, first, make sure the engine is cool, then disconnect the electrical connector, unscrew the sensor using a wrench, apply some thread sealant on the new sensor, and install it in the same location. Don't forget to reconnect the electrical connector and refill the coolant if needed. Good luck, darling!
there is no reset you have replace the low coolant sensor and flush cooling system and use dexcool coolant.
You will need to fix the sensor or the wiring to it.
You could look here:http://www.lovehorsepower.com/SubaruDocs/CoolantTempSensor.htmlThis page shows the coolant sensor and how to replace it.'95 Subbie and '97 should be similar.
Either the coolant sensor has failed or there is a bad connector somewhere or the dashboard sensor circuit has failed.
beetween the trhotle and air filter housing
The engine coolant temp (ECT) sensor on that 97 S10 2.2L would be found close to the thermostat.
Check low coolant sensor. Aslo, I have found that the sensor requires the "slipperiness" of a proper coolant/water mix...too much water and the sensor will stick. ==New answer headline== Also make sure you are using the right coolant. On my 97, the light will only go off if i use Dex-cool. anything else and it will stay on.
