In a 1996 Nissan Maxima, the distributor cap is located on the engine's front, typically mounted on the distributor itself, which is situated near the ignition coils. To access it, you may need to remove any engine covers or components obstructing the area. The distributor cap is usually circular and secured with clips or screws, allowing you to replace it if necessary.
can the distributor cap make the your car take 3 or 4 tries before it crank up
the distributor cap should be on the drivers side of the engine. It is close to the front just beside the air filter.
Have you replaced the distributor cap? I have a 94 Maxima that would not start due to a cracked distributor cap. (Check for sparks under the hood when it's dark.)
the Nissan sentra doesnt carry a distributor cap everything is electrycal i hope i helped
1995 Nissan maximas do not have dist caps they have individ coil packs on top of the v covers
The distributor cap is located on the top of the distributor on a 1996 Sunfire. It is connected to the spark plugs via a wire.
how do you remove a distributor rotor on a 92 Nissan sentra
its coil packs
buy a new distributor cap and rotor. Unscrew the distributor cap (on the drivers side of the engine block), take note how the existing rotor is sitting, remove it, and place the new rotor in the same position. Put on the distributor cap and screw it into place... very simple job. thats how you change the rotor......he asked about the distributor....try again.
It's the distributor rotor that you are looking for & it's under the distributor cap. Remove the distributor cap and there you will find the rotor.
the bolts holding the distributor cap is a 7mm
There are two screws that hold it to the distributor.
