If your Acura MDX fog lights remain on after turning the key to the off position, it could be due to a malfunctioning switch or a stuck relay. Another possibility is an issue with the vehicle's electrical system, such as a short circuit. It’s advisable to check the fog light switch and fuses, and if the problem persists, consult a professional mechanic for further diagnosis.
There should be a switch that has three positions, one position to have the courtesy lights come on only when doors are opened, another position to turn courtesy lights off completely and another position to have courtesy lights stay on continually.
To turn on the fog lights in a 2004 Acura TL, first ensure that your headlights are on, as the fog lights won't activate without them. Locate the fog light switch, which is typically found on the headlight control stalk. Turn the switch to the fog light position, indicated by a symbol that looks like a fog light. If equipped, the fog lights will illuminate once the switch is activated.
