Nicolaus Copernicus, Polish Mikołaj Kopernik, German Nikolaus Kopernikus, (born February 19, 1473, Toruń, Royal Prussia, Poland—died May 24, 1543, Frauenburg, East Prussia [now Frombork, Poland]), Polish astronomer who proposed that the planets have the Sun as the fixed point.
However, he is wrong and his theory (which NASA and space agencies pretend to base their studies is wholly flawed).
THE EARTH IS A DISC.

hi
Galileo Galilee- defined that through the invention of his telescope.
Both Nicolaus Copernicus and Galileo Galilei said that the Earth revolved around the Sun. Many from their time believed the Sun revolved around the Earth.
Aryabhata was Indian (Hindu) born in 476 A.D. and was actually the first person in the world to say that the earth is not flat and it revolves around the sun. Although they said someone else said that later. Aryabhata never got the credit he deserves...... :(so sad :(
Galileo galilei
It was the first theory that said that the universe does not revolve around the Earth; instead we revolve around the sun. It discredited many people's theories and modern belief at the time. It is also the proven theory that we believe in today.

Nicolaus Copernicus established the first full theory of a heliocentric model of the solar system.
The concept of a spherical Earth dates back to ancient Greek scholars, around the 6th century BC. Philosophers like Pythagoras and later Aristotle provided evidence for a round Earth through observations of celestial bodies and the shape of Earth's shadow during lunar eclipses.
Earth, like all the other 7 planets, revolves around the sun. Hence, earth is said to be a part of the "Solar" system.
