Sounds like ignition switch could be bad, the lock cylinder or the switch itself. Good Luck!!!
It is likely that you have lost a master fuse or fusible link. The headlights are nearly always powered directly from the battery through a fusible link or large, under hood fuse.
first make sure hazard lights are not on.next you need to ckeck the grounds from the battery.
Switch? both headlights?
iT CAN BE WIRING OR BAD HEADLIGHT SWITCH.
no you need the ones for the make of the car or else they will not work... trust me from experience
There is a shorted wire or bulb in that circuit.
When you turn the ignition key does the running light dim a little bit?
To replace dash lights on a Mazda B 3000 first disconnect the battery and remove the dashboard. Unplug the cluster wiring and carefully remove the display. Replace the lights.
The multifunction switch that allows you to turn you headlights is broken. The only way to find out is to replace it or take it to a mechanic.
You will have to open up your headlights. Bake them in the oven and then you will be able to open it to get out the water. then you can reseal the lights better.
Look into a recall on this. there is one about the lights. just google it The reason why the headlights are not coming on could be a control module for the headlights (like the 2003 Mazda 6 in the related link). The other reasons could be because of a blown fuse, a bad relay or the switch itself. Most likely will need to get access to a wiring diagram for the specific vehicle (exterior lights) and check power and ground, starting with the switch and work your way to the headlights and see where the open circuit is.
try swapping out the relay in the engine bay fuse box
