On a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, cylinder 6 is located at the rear of the engine, on the driver's side. The engine is a V6 configuration, so the cylinders are arranged in two banks with three cylinders on each side. Specifically, cylinder 6 is the last cylinder on the left bank. To access it, you may need to remove certain components, such as the intake manifold or valve covers, depending on the repair you are performing.

On a Mitsubishi Galant with a 6-cylinder engine, the transmission filter is typically located inside the transmission oil pan. To access it, you usually need to remove the oil pan by unbolting it from the transmission, which may involve draining the transmission fluid first. It's important to consult the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and torque specifications when reassembling.
